| On May 20th, the Redlands Professional
Firefighters had their 11th Annual car show in downtown Redlands which
is about 25 miles from my house. This was our first time attending this
show (Larry has been there before) and certainly won't be our last. This
show is held in an old part of town and takes up about five blocks on a
one-way street. Once the street fills up, the rest of the cars get
parked around the corner which was full by 8:00am.. Both streets get
blocked off for the show which ran from 8:00 am till 3:00 pm. Larry and
I arrived before six that morning because this show fills very fast, so
if you want a good parking spot, this is the way you do it.
The setting for this show is great because of the
old building, nice big shade trees, huge raffle and 50/50 drawing, lots
of food (you me and the food at these shows) like a pancake breakfast and some
vendors too. All the proceeds benefit the firefighters which means the
money goes to a very good cause.
The weather was very cool and overcast in the
morning but at about 10 am, the clouds burred off and it was a very nice
        day of about 85 degrees.
This show brought out some very nice cars, some of
which I've never seen before and a few that I have. Lets get started
because there is a lot to see.
In this shot you can see one of the many blocks of
cars that lined the streets that day and how cool it looks. All of the
buildings on this street have plaques on their walls that tell a little
history about them. It was fun reading some of them as we walked around
looking some of the 300+ cars that showed up.
