33 Coupe Finished Pictures 4        12/28/05

I'll need to fine-tune the carburetor soon but it still runs pretty good. I like they way the flames are done here so they work with or without the hood sides. Makes it look a little more detailed.

Here's a shot of the trunk which is really home to the custom 17 gallon fuel tank. I might be able to fit a bottle in there someday if I really wanted though.

In this shot, you can see the purple and blue on the hood. It's a shame that the light has to be just right to pick out the different colors but at least it's there.

It sure felt good driving the car up to this spot because I've been thinking about it since I started this project. It's funny what you think about sometimes when you daydream. Only one car had to go around me while we were taking pictures so that wasn't to bad. I think I'll come up here again when the light is a little better and take a few more shots.

Thank You Time!

I'd like to say "Thank You" to a few people that have been involved in this build for the last 2 3/4 years. A lot has happened between now and then so I just wanted to give thanks where it's due:

First and foremost, I'd like to thank my wife, Terri, for all the support, the encouragement, knowing how to deal with me when things didn't go very well, and last but not least, for all the love that you've given me along the way, You have been a big help with many aspects of the car and you've also learned a bunch at the same time. Thanks again sweetie, you're the best!!

I'd also like to thank my homies Walt, Steve and Fred at work for helping me make a bunch of hotrod parts. I would dream up what I wanted and these guys helped me make a few of them. You guys did a great job. Thank you to K.S.D. Inc; (which is where I work) for letting me use all the shops equipment to make parts when I needed to. I've spent many of hours on the weekends and evenings making things and I would've had a tough time without the use of their machines.

Thank you to Gary, the man that opened the door to the automotive world for me. You showed me so much over the years and now I can show you what you've taught me by having you ride in the finished car.

Thank you to Bart Vaughan, for the awesome paint job that you laid down on the body, chassis and all the components that you did (to many to list). You did a great job!. Also thank you to Paul Vaughan, for all the help you've given me on the carpet and glass. It's nice to have friends like you guys.

I've learned a lot through-out this build and would like to do it again someday. It's been long and stressful at times but was worth it in the end.

My wife and I are going to enjoy a few car shows this spring and a few more in the summer. I have just enough room in the car to store two fold-up chairs that go into bags so we can kick it once we're at the shows. I guess there won't be much updating from here on out because I'm finished.....at least for now. Street rods are never really finished because you always find something to add or tweak on once your at this stage. Check back every once in awhile to see what I might have changed or worked on.

Thanks for following along and I hoped everyone enjoyed the build up. I also hope that I may have helped a few people along the way or I was able to teach somebody a few basics. Either way, I had a lot of fun writing about everything and believe it or not, I'm going to really miss not being able to write anymore. I know I don't put words together very well but I think I got the point across. Maybe I'll see some of you on the road or at a local car show someday and if you happen to see me, stop by and say "Hi" so we can shoot the bull for a few minutes.

Take care everyone....I sure am happy I can finally drive it......and man does it run good!!!
