I had a hard time trying to locate a
spot to mount the battery but I finally figured out where to put it. I
was originally going to have it in the trunk with the fuel cell but
after checking the clearance between the two, it wasn't going to happen.
The battery will be mounted under the trunk area on the passenger side
        to offset driver weight. I'm using 1" X 1" X 1/8" angle
iron for the construction of the battery box.

This is the bottom of the box which
the battery will sit in. I made it 1/4" larger in both directions
        for an easier fit.

The two pieces that were added to the
back are going to have holes in them to mount the box to the chassis.
Four 3/8" bolts will hold the battery box down which conforms to
NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) rules. Now all the things I've done
so far have been done to the NHRA rule book so I can take it to the
track and race it. If I don't pass tech inspection, I don't get to go
        down the track.

These spacers have 3/8-16 threads in
them and will be welded to the chassis. These are .800" diameter X
1.500" long. I needed this length to space the battery away from my
brake line. The hole goes all the way through but the threads are only
        tapped 1" deep.
